Synopsis:

The First Love Anthology is a collection of five novellas about first love. These quick, romantic teen reads are perfect for anyone who loves a good story about finding your first love. They can be read in order or as standalone stories.

This anthology includes:

The Text Dare
Sixteen-year-old Jess Parker is stuck babysitting her little brother all weekend, which is why she accepts her best friend’s dare: to text the random phone number they found written on a lost piece of algebra homework. When the owner of the number texts back, Jess and Max hit it off through their anonymous conversation. The last thing Jess expected was to spend her boring weekend texting the guy of her dreams, and now that she’s crushing hardcore on a guy she’s never met, she hopes he’s actually the guy he claims to be.

My Un-Famous Neighbor
Shelby Cross lives in the literal middle-of-nowhere. The only time people come to her town is because they run out of gas or make a wrong turn. So when a dangerously cute boy and his mom show up at her parent’s diner one morning, it’s a surprise when they announce they plan on living there. Shelby knows that only people with secrets move to the middle-of-nowhere, and she’s right. Clay Thompson has a pretty big secret. He used to be famous.

Heartbreaker
Mae Warren is a heartbreaker. Starting with her first boyfriend in seventh grade to the most recent victim in her senior year, Mae can’t date a guy longer than two weeks before she’s tired of him. She doesn’t see a problem until her BFF Jacie challenges her to date someone for an entire month. Determined to win this bet, Mae chooses to date Jaxon, the guy who’s crushed on her for years. This should be easy…right?

The New Guy
Dance class is no joke for sixteen-year-old Asha Bronte. She’s been elected as an officer for the class, which is a huge responsibility and honor, and she’s not going to screw it up. She has goals in life, and her family is worse than broke, so the only way she’s going to college is on a scholarship. Her academics and extra-curricular activities have totally taken over her life.

Liam Bavaro just moved to town and his first day of school isn’t going so well. The only elective class available is dance. Dance class? He’d rather drop out and live life as a bum than ever step foot in a tutu or tights. The cute girl at the sign up table clearly doesn’t want him to join her class, either. And, well, now Liam can’t say no.

For Just One Day
Emma has better ways to spend her Friday night, but unfortunately she’s stuck at a museum with her mom and her mom’s new boyfriend. When she slips away and the lights go out, Emma finds herself locked in the ancient building with no cell phone and no way out.

Jaxxon is on a mission to find something he lost in the museum before it closes. What he finds instead is a pretty girl who is accidentally locked inside the building with him. They’re both dealing with their own issues, but for just one night, they’ll have to set it aside and figure out how to rescue themselves.

My Review:

The Text Dare – ❤
Im normally not one for short stories but this book has changed my opinion. The author manages to give you all the feels in a short amount of pages. The characters are well written and believable with a flow that makes you smile the whole time. She was able to pack some much emotion into the pages that you feel you get a full length novel. I can see me picking this book up anytime i need a feel good romance in a small window of time.

My Un-Famous Neighbor – ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
Oh man! This was so cute! The author does it again by making a short story have all the elements you feel in a full size book. I felt i got plenty of details on the character and the scenes to be able to have my own personal movie in my head. I loved clay and shelby and following their story. The story felt real and genuine. Loved every page of it!

Heartbreaker – ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
Swoon! I LOVE this one! I felt bad for some of the guys mentioned in here, but once Jaxon was revealed, I was sucked in. I love a sweet and shy nerd! The characters get so much depth in such a small amount of pages and I love it. I wish i could have gotten more out of this story just because I love them so much. From Jaxon, to maxie and jacie, i enjoyed each and every one of the characters. The writing flows so well and makes you fly through it. Savoring each detail along the way!

The New Guy -❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
I will admit, at the beginning I struggled a little bit. I wasnt big on Liam. But as the story progressed i started to like him more and more. I loved Asha. I know all shes going through and I couldnt help cheering her on in the process. She is a strong character with lots of heart. Im glad it all comes together in the end to leave us all with smiles on our faces!

For Just One Day – ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
Awww. Such a cute little story. This one is packed with lots of emotions and finding good in all the bad. Both characters seem to have a rough life going on and its nice to find the meaning put between the pages. I left this book with a smile on my face, warmth in my heart, and a new outlook on life.

Blood Lust is the first book in the Devil’s Gate trilogy, a dark and sexy reverse harem paranormal series featuring a kick-ass heroine plus a brooding vampire, an alpha wolf, and a cunning faerie you won’t have to choose between.

Review:

It has been a while since I’ve read a book that has sucked me in so completely. I found myself not able to do anything the whole day until I finished the book. I am now in the problem of having to wait until the next book comes out but luckily it is only a couple months at this point and not years.

I loved all of the characters. Usually female main characters irk me, but this one was a nice treat. I loved following Celeste as she tries to find herself and go through all the things thrown at her.

This is a Reverse Harem novel so make sure you know that going into it. There are sexual scenes but they aren’t super descriptive so you are able to still read through it for the wonderfulness of the story itself. I am a sucker for paranormal/fantasy and this one is definitely in that category. I loved learning more about the Fae, Wolves, and Vampires. I know I will get more and more out of this series as it goes and I cannot wait!

The romance in it is really hard to describe without giving away any spoilers, but trust me when I say you will enjoy it! I loved every second of it and can’t wait for more!

Review — Misadventures with a Country Boy

38198500

Misadventures with a Country Boy
Author: Elizabeth Hayley
Release Date: December 4, 2018
Publisher: Waterhouse Press
Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars
Pages: 216
Format: ebook

Synopsis:

Brooke Devereaux has a lot she wants to escape from: a career she never asked for, a future she doesn’t want, and parents who’ve only ever seen her as a business opportunity. But in her desire to experience life, she quickly realizes she’s lacking in one very important skill—how to survive on her own.

Former soldier Cole Timmons is an expert at running away. Whether it’s from his rural hometown, alcoholic father, or painful memories, Cole doesn’t hesitate to leave… Until he encounters an out-of-place woman at a gas station in the middle of nowhere. The wealthy “princess” couldn’t be more different from the country loner, and the pair get off to a rocky and misadventurous start.

But sometimes exteriors are armors meant to deceive. Sometimes what’s beneath reveals more than anyone ever realized. Sometimes, in order to stop running away, a person simply needs to find something to run toward.

My Review:
I have read a few of the other Misadventure books and even though at first I didn’t want to read this one, I decided to give it a chance anyway and man and I glad I did. It was nothing what I expected but that is a blessing. It was such a good story. It was full of so much emotion from anger, fear, love, and just overall happiness.

I loved Cole. My heart went out to him from the beginning. I could tell he had some heavy baggage he was sifting through and I wanted to hug him and help him through it. Plus his blonde shaggy hair had me drooling along the way.

Brooke also had my heart in knots. Not romantically, but just as someone I wanted to help through her problems. We have to wait a chunk of the book to find out what she is running from, but that adds so well to the suspense and emotions that flow through the pages. I know it isn’t easy what she was running from and I commend her for doing something for herself even when she doesn’t know what she really should be doing.

This story left me in a book hangover and wanting to know more about things go in their lives. I could continue to read about where they end up and read about them as elderly warm in their beds. I am so glad I picked up this story and know I will cherish it for many years to come!

Which is fine. The nice list is overrated anyway.

Review:
Such a cute read. I will say that even though this book was filled with lots of love and times of romance, it is also full of plenty of serious especially in the military world. I found it making me not able to fully smile and enjoy the romance because of the heavy. That doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it, because I did. I loved Lindsey and Matt and even all the other secondary characters you meet along the way. The author manages to give personality to everyone even the small characters and make it a truly engrossing story.
The family dynamic in multiples ways adds so much to the story. It helps you feel a part of it all, even if the ways of friends being family. It makes you smile and appreciate the relationships you have in your own life or have you yearning for love in the ways the support community has as well. I know anyone could read this story and be sucked into the pages as well as feel the emotions pumped into the book.

My Review:

Oh my goodness! My heart! I found myself not able to function through life until I found out what happened. I had to keep reading, and getting through work was torture because all I wanted to do was keep reading through the pages.

Its hard to say anything about this book without spoilers but I’ll have to tell you that you won’t be sorry to pick this one up. I will say it was awesome to follow Alinthia and watch her blossom. Tequila Tequila

Author: Emma Hart
Release Date: November 13, 2018
Publisher: Self-Published
Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars
Pages: 192
Format: ebook

Synopsis:

TEQUILA + YOUR BEST FRIEND + YOUR BEDROOM = UM. WHOOPSIE?

Don’t sleep with your best friend.
Take it from me. I did it. And it was awful.
I-wish-the-tequila-made-me-forget kind of bad.
The problem is, Luke has forgotten. He swears that he can’t remember a thing about that night beyond the trays of tequila shots being set on the tables.
Except I can’t forget. I can’t forget how good his hands felt until I fell over and hit my hip on the dresser, and I sure as hell can’t forget the entire two minutes of tap-tap-squirt.
Awkward. Embarrassing. And the new subject of a couple of dirty lucid dreams.
But I have no intention of telling him what we did. Nothing good comes from telling your best friend he’s the worst guy you’ve ever slept with.
Which makes the tequila on my birthday a very, very bad idea…

My Review:

This book was one that will suck you in the from beginning. I found myself wanting to skip chapters not because it was bad, but because I was really wanting to know what was going to happen next.

I loved the characters. Even the best friends you get to know on the side of Luke and Aspen. Aspen was a joy to read even when i wanted to strangle her a couple times. Shes a strong minded character who has her vulnerable moments that are refreshing and real. Luke is such a sweetheart. I loved him so much! Hes such a family boy with a huge heart, and his humor was one of my favorite things about him.

This book was a refreshing treat full of love in all forms, suspense, roller coasters of emotions. This book will make you laugh, smile, and have the warm fuzzies when you finish the last page.

First to Fall
Author: Alexa Whitewolf
Release Date: March 21, 2018
Publisher: Self-Published
Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars
Pages: 318
Format: ebook

Goodreads | Amazon |

Synopsis:

He was given a new life, a new choice, a new path…

Once upon a time, Dominic Kosta didn’t have a last name. In fact, he had nothing growing up in a secluded orphanage in the mountains of Transylvania. Then an American couple adopted him, and life changed. He left behind the old legends, the myths, the hunger within him.

He threw it all behind, choosing seclusion and a little town….

Rockland Creek may be a hole in the middle of nowhere, but Dom’s happy there. Life has its perks between fixing cars and seducing women. And best of all? There are no rules, other than Lucas’. Then Lucrezia San Marco walks in, and draws him in like a moth to a flame. Only, she only has eyes for Lucas, his boss – and alpha of the pack.

…filled with werewolves.

There’s nothing normal about Rockland Creek – or Dominic’s existence there. But things are about to get worse, and not just because he sees the girl he loves slipping through his fingers.

A war is brewing, eclipsing their romance and dragging old ghosts into town…

As Dominic navigates the murky waters of romance and obedience to his leader, his feelings for Lucrezia can no longer be tamed. But not everyone supports their relationship – and the Reapers have a word or two to say against it. As does Lucrezia’s ex, and the demons he brings with him.

Fire and ice, cold and hot, wolf and human. Dom and Luz will have to combine their differences and learn to compromise, or risk being torn apart by the wave of change unfurling onto Rockland Creek.

Book I in a new series of sizzling werewolves, forgotten folklore and untamed legends.

My Review:

I have to admit, I see so many werewolf books I tend to avoid them but decided to give this one a chance and boy am I glad I did.

This book follows Lucrezia and Dom. There are several other big characters but you wont follow their point of view. Atleast in book 1. I loved how strong of a character Luz is. She didnt take anything from anyone and it worked so well. Most female characters in books it just doesn’t flow, but this story it was done right. As for Dom, swoon. Such a sweetheart with so much bottled within. I enjoyed reading his parts the most and I wanted to jump into the pages and hug him on multiple encounters.

If you are looking for werewolves done right, this is your book. Get ready for emotional turmoil, romance, brotherhood, friendship, and of course a whole lot of paranormal, get ready for a long but fulfilling ride!

A forbidden romance is the last thing either of them planned for senior year, but the more time they spend together, the deeper their feelings get.

Now Beth has a choice to make—follow the rules, or risk tearing everything apart…again.

My Review:

Oh my! Such a wonderful story. I wasnt sure how i was going to like this book since i lost my little brother 3 years ago but holy cow, this story was breathtaking.

I loved Chase from the get go. I could feel his pain and sadness flowing out of the pages and i wanted to take it all away.

I loved Beth as well. Poor girl was going through so much and yet she just kept getting more. I loved her strength through it all and who she became in the end.

The authors did a wonderful job of making you despise certain characters. I felt literal hate towards some and wish i could have jumped into the story literally and give them a piece of my mind.

This story sucked me in from the first page and i wasnt able to stop until it was done. I already know this is a book that will have me in a book hangover but it was worth it and more!

Incognito
Author: Siobhan Davis
Release Date: June 30, 2018
Publisher: Self-Published
Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars
Pages: 300
Format: ebook

Synopsis:

A troubled popstar forced into hiding… A sweet small-town girl overcoming tragedy… And the kind of love that only happens once in a lifetime.

Dakota’s dreams of attending Juilliard were shattered the night tragedy struck her family. It’s one year later, and she’s now enrolled at a local university trying to piece her life back together.

Shawn is one of the world’s most famous faces, having lived under a spotlight since his star exploded when he was fourteen. Now jaded by an industry forcing him to perform music he no longer enjoys, he craves normalcy and the opportunity to rediscover his muse. When a crazy stalker gets too close, and death threats start mounting, Shawn’s management team comes up with a plan—one which will allow him to work on his latest album while staying incognito on a college campus.

Romance is the last thing on Dakota’s mind, but after she crosses paths with a hot, prickly cutie with rock-hard abs and smoldering good looks, she can’t shake him from her thoughts.

Shawn can’t afford to bring any girl into his fucked-up life, but the gorgeous blonde with the sad blue eyes captivates him in a way no girl ever has, and he finds himself falling hard and fast.

But outside forces are conspiring against them.

When danger draws closer, and secrets are revealed, will their love survive?

My Review:

I started this book while in a reading slump, I was hoping it would help me out of it and boy did it! I was sucked in from page one and found myself staying up late just to finish it. I couldn’t stop reading.

I’m usually iffy with books that deal with rock stars, but the premise of this one sounded good and I had to give it a shot. I loved the intensity in the characters and all they overcome as you flip through the pages.

I loved Dakota. She was such a refreshing character and I know what it’s like to go through what she did. it’s not easy and it gave me courage to keep going just like her.

Shawn/Levi. swoon. I couldn’t help but make him one of my book boyfriends. he had so many different sides to him until he was able to find himself and he sure did turn into a wonderful person. I hope they both pop up in any other books Siobhan writes so I can know more of how they end up.

This book is packed full of loss, emotion, turmoil, pain, love, happiness, and in typical Siobhan fashion a healthy dose of suspense. I loved each and every page and know I’ve found another book I will cherish for life.

Review — Lovely Little Liar

42616810Lovely Little Liar

Author: J. Kenner
Release Date: November 6, 2018
Publisher: Self-Published
Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars
Pages: 135
Format: ebook

Synopsis:

She’s not the woman I thought … but dammit, she’s the woman I want.

Let’s get this out of the way, right off the bat: I love women.

I love the way they look. The way they smell. The way they feel. Especially the way they feel. And I’ve pretty much made it my mission to give each and every woman who shares my bed the ride of her life.

Then I met her. All business and completely uninterested in me. And damned if I didn’t want her. Crave her. I told myself I only wanted to tame her. That it was all about the challenge.

I never expected to break through her shell and find the softness underneath. Never expected how wild she’d be between the sheets or the way she’d cry my name with such sincere intensity when I totally rocked her world.

Most of all, I never expected to fall for her.

But I did.

And the question is, now that I know I want her, how the hell do I go about keeping her?

My Review:

This book hit the spot! From the very first page I was intrigued and found myself not doing anything else until I finished it.

This is a shorter book that follows Pierce’s point of view. Im so used to the romance novels being from the females POV so this was a nice refreshing treat to see if from a different side. I loved Pierce. He was a wonderful character to follow with a heart of gold even if he will try to tell you otherwise.

I loved the plot of the book and the truth you can feel behind how people are about celebrities. The author nailed it right on the head. You get to follow Jezebel and Delilah as they battle the world of showbiz.

This book has suspense, thrills, sexual exploits, love, romance, and plenty of emotions packed within the pages. You will find yourself not able to stop reading once you have begun!
